Lewis Hamilton is a British racing driver who competes in Formula 1 for Ferrari. A 7-time Formula 1 World Champion, he is one of the standout names of his generation.
Lewis made his Formula 1 debut in 2007. Across 387 Grand Prix starts he has scored 106 race wins, 206 podiums and 118 pole positions, racing under number 44.
Born on 7 January 1985, Lewis has raced in Formula 1 for Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes. His victories span 31 different circuits, including Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Hungaroring.
Hamilton's rookie season in 2007 remains one of the most remarkable in Formula 1: he finished on the podium in his first nine races for McLaren and lost the title by a single point. He took the championship the following year, moved to Mercedes in 2013 in a switch widely questioned at the time, and won six more titles there before joining Ferrari in 2025.
