Charles Leclerc is a Monegasque racing driver who competes in Formula 1 for Ferrari. An established Grand Prix winner, he is among the most closely watched drivers on the grid.
Charles made his Formula 1 debut in 2018. Across 180 Grand Prix starts he has scored 8 race wins, 52 podiums and 34 pole positions, racing under number 16.
Born on 16 October 1997, Charles has raced in Formula 1 for Ferrari and Sauber. His victories span 7 different circuits, including Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza and Bahrain International Circuit.
Leclerc won the GP3 title in 2016 and Formula 2 in 2017, taking both at the first attempt. Sauber gave him his debut in 2018 and Ferrari promoted him a year later, where his first two victories came at Spa and Monza on consecutive weekends. His home Grand Prix in Monaco eluded him until 2024, when he finally won it.
